Owen had a vision come to him shortly after the first few plays of “Florida”. A few days later I received an email from Owen pitching his idea for the video. I thought he was insane and I still do but that is why we all trust him. One of the more memorable parts of the shoot was just as we were getting started Owen pulls out a few bags of water with these goldfish swimming in them. He was hoping that the goldfish would translate with the white background just as the oranges had done. Later on that day he convinced Bryson to put one in his mouth which took a lot of mental preparation and focus from Bryson (presumably to not barf). The fish lived but sadly, the shot was never used. That’s show biz.

Eddie Winters was a very successful and famous LA DJ in the early 70’s and made a name for himself on the airwaves sharing his vast musical knowledge and mixing it with some of his own personal experiences. I was fortunate enough to have Eddie lend his satin-like voice to an episode of the Jason Dove Diaries (Episode 10) while Winters was in town. I was told that Eddie hosted a 45-minute long set of fantastic classic rock on Towson University’s WTMD radio station while I was out of the country. I was able to track down some of the guys that work over at “TMD” and persuaded one of the engineers to burn off a copy of Eddie’s visit. I was told that no one had been on the air and made such a huge impact on the “TMD” audience in quite a few years. I am excited to share this recording with you in 3 parts.
